- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
- No food, candy, gum, or drinks in class. Water will be allowed unless the privilege is abused.
- You are tardy to class if you are not in the room when the bell rings. Tardies will also be reported to the office. See handbook.
- The guidelines for make up work will follow school policy. You will not be allowed to make up work after an unexcused absence. The student must provide proper documentation regarding their absence within three days of returning to school.
- All rules and regulations in the student handbook will also be enforced.
You will be given four opportunities to correct your behavior before I will consult the office.
1st time- given a warning
2nd time- assigned 30-minute teacher detention
3rd time- contact parents and serve a teacher detention
4th time- sent to office
If, however, your behavior is such that class can no longer be conducted, you will be sent to an administrator without the opportunities listed above.
Procedures
- You must keep a three-ring notebook for my class.
- When you are absent, consult the make-up work folder. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain make up work after an absence. It will list everything you missed during your absence. Any worksheets that you need will be found in the file that corresponds to your class. If you missed a test or quiz, you must stay after school to make up the grade. It is your responsibility to get your missed work.
- Check the calendar at the front of the room every day to notice upcoming tests, projects, or important notices.
- Remain in your seat until I dismiss you. The bell does not dismiss you; I do. Do not line up at the door. You must wait until I say goodbye or let you know that I am finished for the day.
- If you need extra help at any time, please see me to schedule a time before school or after school. I am always willing to work with you. Please do not allow yourself to get so far behind that it becomes almost impossible to catch up.
- All homework assignments should be turned in as you enter the classroom. Homework will not be accepted late.
- If you have an absentee form, field trip form, etc., place it in the basket on my desk.
- All tests and essays should be completed in blue or black ink or typed unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.
