Homework: Homework will be given regularly and be due the next school day. No late papers will be accepted. Students have the number of days they were absent plus one to make up work but only for excused absences. All work should be completed in pencil. Work written in pen will not be graded.
Show your work: Students are expected to show their work on all tests, quizzes, and homework. Credit will not be given if work is not shown.
Behavioral Expectations : I expect excellent behavior from all of my students. I will treat each of you with respect and consideration and I expect the same from you. If a discipline problem arises in my class, I will discuss the problem with the student and with that student’s parents. If there continues to be a problem, I will assign after school detentions. If the problem continues, I will meet with the student, their parents and an administrator. I will be fair and consistent in dealing with all students.
Classroom Policies : I have a few very basic and simple rules in my classroom. 1. Please come to class prepared. 2. You will not be allowed to leave unless it is an emergency. 3. Stay in your assigned seat. 4. Participate in the daily activities. 5. Do not take or bother anything that does not belong to you. 6. Do not “put down” others by making fun of them or laughing at them.
Make-Up Policy : If a student is absent, they have as many days to make-up work as they were absent (plus one). It is the students’ responsibility to get the assignments from the teacher.
Leaving class: Students are only allowed to leave class to go to the restroom on a limited basis. You will receive four(4) passes per nine weeks. Use them wisely.
Attendance/Tardy Policy: Please keep in mind the attendance policy. A student with more than six (6) absences unexcused in a class during a semester may not receive credit for that class unless a waiver is granted.
No food, drink, or gum is allowed in the classroom.
