GEOMETRY SYLLABUS AND POLICIES PREREQUISITES: Algebra I, Applied Algebra or Applied Geometry OBJECTIVE AND TOPICS: Students will master concepts of Euclidean geometry, solve problems, and use geometric tools. TEXT: Glencoe Geometry ($48 value) REQUIRED MATERIALS THAT STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE: scientific calculator (Texas
Instruments preferred), pencils, graph paper, 3-ring notebook, protractor,
ruler, drawing compass, 9x11 glass picture frame, white t-shirt, $3 fee for HOMEWORK: No late homework accepted. ISS students assume same responsibilities as in-class students. Excused students are given an extra day to make up work without being reminded by teacher, and must take tests with other students. Work must be neat and in pencil. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT: Students who hinder the learning environment due to prohibited actions (gum chewing, eating, sleeping, etc.) or disruption (socializing, physical horseplay) or vandalism will be written up and parents will be contacted. Please write a number where you (parents/guardian) are reachable during the day at the bottom of the page. ASSISTANCE: Students can get help from me in class or after school.
