Course Overview: The purpose of the class is two-fold- (1.) To provide the student with the appropriate skills to succeed in all High School disciplines (2.) To provide the student with the information and encouragement to understand the sequence of events in the founding and development of America.

Course Objectives:(1.) Provide a comprehensive, intensive study of major events and themes in the history of the United States . (2.) Improve students’ potential for academic success.

Extra Credit will not be available. Late assignments (unexcused absences) will be accepted at a reduction of 20 points per day.

Tardy: Room will be locked immediately following the bell. Punctuality is important.

Procedures: Most important. Be prepared every day. Bring books, paper, and pen(cil)s

A 3-ring binder notebook will be required.

Conduct: Each student is expected to behave in a courteous and civil manner toward instructors and all other students. Bring no food into the classroom.

Only one student at a time will be allowed to leave for the restroom/water fountain.
