Course Overview: The purpose of this class is two-fold. 1.) To provide the student with the appropriate skills needed in all high school disciplines. 2.) To provide the student with the Information and encouragement to positively participate in life using the basic math skills required to survive.
Course Objectives: 1.) Improve students’ potential for academic success. 2.) Equip student’s with an understanding of the basics in math to help them through life’s daily encounters.

Make Up Work : Make up work will be allowed with an excused absence. All make up work must be completed with 5 days of return to school.
Tardy : Students who are not in the room, in dress code, and seated with all needed materials will be counted tardy.
Daily Procedures:
Politely enter the room
No food or drinks (except bottled water)
No gum allowed
Only one person at a time may leave restroom/water fountain (time will be made up after school on Thursdays)
Book bags placed in assigned area
Follow all school and class rules.

Verbal restraint (all inappropriate and appropriate verbal behaviors)
On Task (work on all appropriate assigned tasks)
Assigned area (stay where you are assigned)
First Response (comply with directions the first time asked)
