LaFayette High School

Student Handbook

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year!  We are expecting to have another great year at LHS.  As we continue to enhance our programs and facilities, we feel confident that we are providing a positive school environment for our students.  Our school has an excellent reputation and we all need to work together to achieve even higher levels of success.  With your support, we will continue to elevate our status as the best high school in the region.  The entire faculty and staff of LaFayette High School are committed to providing each child with the best educational experience possible.

Let’s start the year with the goal of improving our overall attendance.  Good attendance is the number one predictor of student success.  Students with excellent attendance and good work habits will almost always enjoy academic success.  Our teachers come to school to teach and to help students learn.  Their job is made easier when students consistently attend their respective classes.

This handbook has been developed to help you and your parents learn as much as possible about school policies and procedures.  Please take time to read over this handbook and the additional information that we have sent home.  The rules outlined in this handbook are provided to guide students throughout their high school career.  It is the responsibility of students and parents to be aware of the rules and regulations of the school.

I look forward to a successful year.

Sincerely,
Roger Hibbs
