Government
Prerequisite: None
Government is a study of the foundations of America, from the beginning of European settlement throught the development ofthe constitutiona and how it shaped the early development ofthe United States. Students will beprovided with information to positively participate in our system of government, and related U.S. Government institutions and processes to their own lives. This course is required for graduation

United States History
Prerequisite: Government
US History is a survey of American history from the discovery, exploration, and colonization of North America to the founding of the nation in the late 1700s, its continued expansion and development, and its growing independence in the world to the present. This course is required for graduation.

World History
Prerequisite: Government & US History
A study of the history of the world and its civilizations including: earliest civilizations and empires, Greeks, Romans, Byzantine and Muslim empires, Medieval history, Renaissance and Reformation, the Age of Europe, the Industrial Revolution, World War I, World War II, and the Cold War.

World Geography
Prerequisite: Government & US History
A study of the physical and cultural make-up of the world. Objectives are to acquaint students with the physical characteristics of the earth, to build map skills, and to familiarize students with the cultural characteristics of the various populations of the world.

Economics
Prerequisite: Government, US History, World History or World Geography
Addresses the fundamental concepts and essential elements of the three economic systems in a problems/issues orientation. The unique characteristics of the mixed market system are contrasted with those of other systems. The rights and responsibilities of other systems are explored. This course is required for graduation.

A.P. Psychology
Prerequisite: Teacher Approval
A full-year course that will be taught in one semester on the block schedule. The course is designed to provide an in-depth study of the history and evolution of psychology as a science and profession, and to present an overview of the multidimensional foci of the discipline
